The 7th China (Jinan) New Growth Drivers Innovationand Entrepreneurship Contest Central Europe Division successfully organized

Innovation and Entrepreneurship,Realize Your Dream in the City of Springs。On September 27th, the preliminary round of the 7th China (Jinan) New Kinetic Energy Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Central and Eastern Europe division was successfully held in Budapest, Hungary.

The competition was guided by the Office of the Talent Work Leadership Group of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee, and was organized by the Jinan Municipal Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the CPC Laiwu District Committee, and the People's Government of Laiwu District. The Office of the Talent Work Leadership Group of the CPC Laiwu District Committee and the China-Central and Eastern European Science and Technology Exchange Association were in charge of the event. The competition focused on five fields: big data and new generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment, biomedicine and big health, fine steel and advanced materials, modern agriculture and new energy, widely soliciting talent projects. The aim is to attract a group of high-level scientific and innovative talents and to settle a number of growing technology companies through the competition.

The event was attended by more than 80 people, including Han Dongsheng, Minister of the Cultural and Educational Section of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Hungary, Mou Gaofei, Standing Committee of the CPC Laiwu District Committee, Minister of Organization, Minister of United Front Work, Liu Jikai, Deputy Director of the Second Office of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, Lv Hua, Director and Party Secretary of the Jinan Laiwu District Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Peter Eno, President of the China-Hungary Economic and Trade Association, Zoltan Kozsgy, Mayor of Dabas City, Hungary, György Samuel, President of the Hungarian Science and Technology Investment Enterprise Association, Jiao Chao, President of the China-Central and Eastern European Science and Technology Exchange Association, heads of relevant departments of Laiwu District, Hungarian friends, leaders of the overseas Chinese community in Hungary, representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises, student representatives, expert judges, and representatives of competing projects.

Han Dongsheng, Minister of the Cultural and Educational Section of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Hungary, delivered a speech, in which he stated that China and Hungary have a traditional friendship and extensive and in-depth cooperation in political, economic, scientific, educational, and cultural fields. Both countries attach great importance to talent and scientific innovation. At the critical period of joining hands in the new era and striving for a new journey, this event was held to attract more outstanding talents and scientific elites to innovate and start businesses together, striving to make new contributions to cultural exchanges and scientific and technological innovation cooperation between China, Hungary, and Europe. He encouraged the participants to take this opportunity to cultivate a culture and spirit of innovation and encouraged Chinese students studying in Hungary to actively participate in the tide of innovation and entrepreneurship, writing a new chapter.

Liu Jikai, Deputy Director of the Second Office of the Cadres of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, delivered a speech.

 Jiao Chao, President of the Central and Eastern European China Science and Technology Exchange Association, delivered a speech.

Mr. Péter Enő, President of the China-Hungary Economic and Trade Association, and Mr. György Szilárd, President of the Hungarian Association of Science and Technology Investment Companies, congratulated the event.

During the event, the Jinan Laiwu District Overseas Talent Liaison Station in Hungary was inaugurated. Representatives from the Jinan Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and the relevant departments of Laiwu District presented appointment letters to outstanding entrepreneurs and expert talents in Hungary as "Talent Ambassadors" and entrepreneurship mentors for Laiwu District.

A total of 224 innovation and entrepreneurship projects from more than 20 countries, including China, Hungary, Germany, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Malaysia, and Belarus, were collected for the Central and Eastern Europe division of this competition. After review and preliminary evaluation, 80 high-quality projects were selected to enter the preliminary round. After fierce competition, 15 high-level projects will be screened to advance to the Jinan finals.
